Social and Cultural Surveys
Social Surveys
Our approach to social and cultural assessments begins with an in-depth desktop review to gather existing data on local communities, cultural practices, and ecosystem services.
This is followed by on-site evaluations where we collect detailed information through direct interaction with local communities, stakeholders, and relevant authorities. Our team conducts individual and group discussions to ensure a diverse range of perspectives are considered.
In areas where language barriers exist, we employ local translators to assist in communication, ensuring that all community members have the opportunity to share their insights and concerns.
Community Engagement
We prioritize community participation throughout the assessment process to capture local knowledge and ensure that the assessments reflect the values and needs of the people directly impacted by the project.
In addition to discussions and interviews, we often conduct participatory mapping exercises across villages within the project area. This allows community members to actively contribute to identifying key resources, cultural sites, and areas of ecological importance.
The integration of this information ensures that our assessments are not only scientifically accurate but also culturally sensitive and aligned with community priorities.
